Batting

I carry Quilters Dream batting in 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton, and bamboo. I have been quilting for 15 years and Quilter's Dream is my go-to. The quality is top-notch and it's USA Made!

Batting charges are calculated by the linear inch from queen rolls (93"w) and I use only what is needed (smallest side of quilt top + a 5" margin).

Example: If your quilt top measures 60" x 80",  I would cut 65" off the roll.

If you are looking for a specific batting not offered, I'm happy to special order for you. Unsure of what type of batting you'd like to use? We can discuss which option would be best for your quilt.​​​​ ​

 

Special orders are quoted upon request. These are ordered by single package (smallest size needed for project) instead of a large roll so you will be charged a flat rate. Please keep in mind, special orders will require a longer turnaround time to allow for ordering/shipping.

Thread

Cost of a new needle, thread and first bobbin is included in the square inch pricing.

There is a charge of $2 per bobbin change. If a total of 4 bobbins are used, you will be charged 3 bobbin changes or (4-1) x $2 = $6.

The total bobbins used per quilt varies. For most throw size quilts, I typically use 4-5 bobbins.

Other Costs

Quilt Prep (optional unless indicated by asterisk *): 

• Piece and square backing: $15

• *Prep quilt top (pressing, trimming threads, etc): $15 

• Trim/Square finished quilt: $10 ​

*I ask that your top/backing is pressed and threads have been trimmed. If not, I will contact you to discuss before I get started so there are no surprises. Minimal thread trims are to be expected so you won't be charged for a few stray threads. ​

Binding Services (optional): 

• Cut/Piece binding strips from provided yardage: $15/quilt

• Machine sew binding to front only: $15/quilt

• Machine sew binding to front, hand sew to back: $15 + $0.25/linear inch (Length x 2 + Width x 2)

• Cut/Piece binding, machine sew to front only: $25/quilt

• Cut/Piece binding, machine sew to front, hand sew to back: $25 + $0.25/linear inch (Length x 2 + Width x 2)

​Shipping

Once your quilt has been finished, I will let you know before dropping it in the mail. I'll do my best to return your quilt using the best rates available via USPS. Shipping charges, including any additional insurance requested, will be added to your final invoice.

If you are local to the Puyallup, WA area, I'd be happy to arrange a drop off/pick up at no additional charge. ​​

Payment

An invoice will be sent upon completion of your quilt. Payment is due upon receipt. Once payment has been received, I will ship your quilt back and provide tracking.
